| Video Discription | The movie entirely presents the surgical procedure performed in live at the 2nd Meeting of SEUD (Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Diseases), in Barcelona, the 11th of May, 2016. The procedure was carried out at the Clinic Hospital of Barcelona, in the Department of Gynecology of Prof Francesco Carmona. The patient was 39-yr old 2 para, with 2 deep endometriosis nodules infiltrating the upper rectum and the sigmoid colon, separated by 4cm of healthy bowel. The short distance between the 2 nodules did not allow conservative procedure on each one. After performing disc excision on the rectal nodule to demonstrate the technique, we finished by colorectal resection removing the upper rectum and the sigmoid colon (8 cm length bowel specimen). We also performed total hysterectomy for adenomyosis. Outcomes were uneventful and the patient was discharged the Day 5. |
