| Video Discription | The patient is a 42-year-old woman with severe pelvic pain over the last two months. On ultrasound, she had a large mixed echogenic cystic mass in her left ovary. The initial diagnosis was a tubo-ovarian abscess and she consented to a left adnexectomy. She was Gr2P2 having had two normal deliveries in the past. During surgery, a large necrotic mass was found adherent to the sigmoid colon, the uterus and the bowel. We demonstrate the proper laparoscopic way to divide adhesions with minimal blood loss. |
