| Video Discription | In this video we show our technique for endoscopic treatment of anastomosis fistula after radical prostatectomy. The aim is to place ureteral catheters bilaterally in the renal pelvis with additional openings for drainage and withdraw them externally to prevent urine from leaking into the bladder. In addition, the Foley or Owen cateter is repositioned in the bladder using a guide wire. This cateter should have an additional drainage hole distal to the tube balloon that allows drainage close to the fistula. We do not recommend adding more than 10cc of distilled water inside of the ballon, much less performing cateter traction. In our series of 4 patients treated using this technique, all were successful in closing the fistula without the need for additional treatments. For contact: dracsantos@gmail.com |
