| Video Discription | The first diagnosis one entertains when dealing with a larger Solid Cystic Mass arising from the pelvis filling the abdominal cavity in a middle aged lady is Cancer Ovary, the famed silent killer. When CECT proves it to be arising it from the adnexa uni or bilateral, and the CA 125 is found raised, the sinister diagnosis is virtually confirmed. This young lady aged 45 presented in this setting, her CA 125 however was not significantly raised, but the clinic-radiological picture left no doubt in our minds that we were dealing with Ca Ovary and she was posted for Primary Surgical Cytoreduction.. It was a pleasant surprise for the surgical team to find inside nothing but Giant Fibroids, and of-course for the fortunate lady to find herself 15 pounds lighter after the surgery. |
