For the full the video summary go to: https://youtu.be/jqxKAd0KGZo A corpus callosotomy is a brain surgery procedure that severs the corpus callosum, a bundle of nerve fibers that links the left and right sides of the brain. This procedure can be an effective treatment for severe forms of epilepsy that don’t respond to anti-seizure medicines. Although seizures may not be completely eliminated by a corpus callosotomy, their severity is typically reduced because the bursts of abnormal electrical brain activity that occur during a seizure can no longer spread from one side of the brain to the other.
