| Video Discription | Here I reveal my simple and reliable method for cloning a favorite cannabis plant. Did you know there is virtually no limit to the number of times a plant can be cloned? I've heard stories of repeat cloning up to 15 years! I've seen some that were said to be almost 5 years old, and I've got one now that is over a year old and midway thru a re-flower, AND it was a clone from the original mama. :D Clones give you several advantages, you know they are coming from healthy moms, you know they are female, you know what the outcome is gonna taste like, given similar growing considerations. Plus the plants are fairly well along already, once they start throwing roots out, you are literally weeks ahead of seedlings. ALSO, Clones taken during early-to-mid flower will take a little longer to get started typically, but once they get going, each flowering site turns into a branch factory. I did some late (week 4 of flower ) lollipopping of under-developed Jesus OG branches and took the best looking 5 and decided to clone with them. Steps: A - Clear and clean the work area. Bleach water is not too extreme, provided you dry when done. B - prep your tools and materials: - tin foil (to make a little tray) - alcohol - stainless steel wool (small clean piece) - scissors - rockwool cubes - de-chlorinated water (pre-moisten the cubes to give them weight to hold the clones) - rooting powder - Clonable branches from your selected donor mama. 1 - Take the clone, and strip any nodes from the bottom half of the plant and re-trim to make then uniform height - ~ 4 inches 2 - Trim all fan leaves in half. this makes the plant draw less water, less focus on growing up, and more focus on growing roots. 3 - Sterilize the steel wool and use it to lightly scrape the outer bark to expose the inner cambium. it doesn't have to be all stripped off. 4 - Dip the clone in some rooting powder or gel, then insert he clone into the rockwool cubes. 5 - Rinse and repeat from step 1 until done with your clones. 6 - Fold of the tin foil into a tray that will hold water. 7 - Place under a plastic dome, and check every few days to make sure the cubes remain moist. After 10 days to 2 weeks, you should have viable ready to transplant clones. This method is great for hydro or soil., once again, because the core area where the fragile root is growing from is protected in a 'diaper' of rockwool.
