It is well known that UPJ and ureterovesical junction are the lastest portions of the ureter to canalize during fetal development. and that at the very beginning the ureter is folded on itself and persistence of the infolding may generate kinking and probably obstruction. In this video, a close relationship between the left gonadal vein and the obstructed UPJ is shown. Do this close relation have an influence in ureter kinking and subsequent UPJ obstruction during fetal development? |
