| Video Discription | This video demonstrates the single hand endoscopic tympanoplasty with the details of middle ear anatomy. The video shows the freshening of the margins, the tympanomeatal flap elevation up to the annulus. The doctor makes an entry into the middle ear and shows the preservation of chorda tympani nerve and denuding of handle of malleus. After the elevation of tympanomeatal flap up to the incision is completed, the doctor shows the tympanosquamous suture line, tympanomastoid suture line, notch of rivinus, the elevation the TM flap anteriorly and the bony annulus. The doctor performs the dissection of the edematous mucosa over IS joint. The doctor then shows the round window membrane and anterior and posterior lips of RW niche. The Hypotympanic air cells are visible, along with the Jacobsons Nerve over Promontry. The preparation for grafting involves filling the middle ear with gel foam, followed by placement of temporalis facia graft, anterior tucking of graft and exteriorization of handle of malleus. The video concludes by showing the repositioning of the TM flap, which marks the end of the surgery.
