For more videos please visit my You Tube channel BD ENDOSCOPY https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUCV75W4QzJZgbAOk2kluVQ patient age 51 Procedure: Sclerotherapy of Fundal Varices Indication Fundic varix Medication: Under sedation FINDINGS: FOL: Epiglottis, aryepiglotic folds, piriform fossas and vocal cords appear normal. OESOPHAGUS: Multiple columns of grade I to II oesophageal varices are seen at the lower third of the oesophagus. STOMACH: Rugal mucosal folds are normal in size, shape and color. Mucosal edema and erythemas are seen at the body and fundus of the stomach. Fundic varix is noted. Sclerotherapy is given by injecting with 2.5ml of Cyanoacrylate (Endocryl) at the base and body of the varix. DUODENUM: D1 and D2 along with papilla appear normal. BIOPSY: Not taken. COMMENTS: 1. Grade II/I oesophageal varices 2. Fundic varix 3. Congestive gastropathy THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION: First session of Sclerotherapy of fundic varix is done. |
