STOMACH: A very large multi lobulated cluster of varix is seen at the fundus. Features of early congestive gastropathy is noted at the body and fundus of the stomach. Sclerotherapy is given by injecting with 3ml of Cyanoacrylate (Endocryl) at the base and body of the varix Maintains homeostasis DUODENUM: The bulb, post-bulbar area and second part appear normal. BIOPSY: Not taken COMMENTS: Grade-l oesophageal varices with fundal varix and early portal hypertensive gastropathy. THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION: First session Sclerotherapy of fundal varix done. |
