| Video Discription | A 53 year old lady was referred for closure of a persisting gastro-cutaneous fistula after removal of her PEG tube. The background history is complicated, somewhat vague and a little controversial: 10 years ago: - Nissen's fundoplication and revision for hiatus hernia at another hospital. 9 years ago: - PEG tube inserted at same hospital for "oesophageal dysmotility” (!) 4 years ago: - Change of PEG x2 18 months ago: - PEG modified, jejunal extension added (thought to have gastric dysmotility) - Gastric emptying studies - normal! 3 weeks ago: - PEG jej tube removed (had not been used for 5 months) - After PEG removal, persisting fistula with copious discharge of gastric content Co-morbidities: epilepsy, depression, pituitary dysfunction, polypharmacy including opiates and antidepressants.
