| Video Discription | โฃ โฃIโm a big fan of defoliating plants throughout their life to increase added health benefits, yield, also to increase airflow and reduce risk of mold. โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ Typically, I defoliate as the plant needs it. I would suggest doing a little at a time when they are old enough and see how the plant reacts? Each plant is different and Iโm learning Autoflowers take a bit more time to recover so any heavy defoliation needs to be strategic. โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ I defoliate my plants all through their life, but I tend to do 3 bigger strategic defoliation events in my plants life cycle. I do a major pruning about a week before flipping to flower, another after the 3 week stretch is done and finally a week before harvest when I remove all fan leaves. I do this for a few reasons;โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ 1. I use the leaves to make infused-fan leaf oil, tinctures and add to smoothies or food. โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ 2. I grow many plants in a very small space in my bedroom, so I need to manage airflow and humidity by pruning regularly. โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ 3. As a long time vegetable and flower gardener, I am a natural pruner and defoliate my plants, trees and flowers regularly. I see great results from doing this.โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ When I started growing cannabis, I never thought twice about defoliating and pruning my plants.โฃโฃโฃ โฃโฃโฃ I have read lots of information with regards to when I should be doing this in their life and experimenting has been fun.
