So today I’m going to show you guys how to do low temp dabs, and the reason I am going to do this is because I recently upgraded from a titanium nail to a quartz banger. If you watched some of my previous videos you’ll see I recently purchased a rosin press, so I have had plenty of concentrate on hand these days. Now the idea of a low temp dab, is just as the name says and that’s take take a dab of concentrate off your quartz banger at a low temperature. And the reason to do this is with a low temp dab you don't burn off the terpenes, giving you a much better taste. It is always less of a burn on your throat and prevents the dab from setting on fire. So lets go check that out. Alright, so before I the dab itself, I am going to show you the supplies you need to do this. First, your dab rig and quartz banger as well as your dabber and concentrate. You’ll want a carb cap, your torch, and finally some q-tips for cleaning off the quartz banger. I’ll explain that in more detail later. Now that you have everything ready, it’s time to heat up the nail. I heat it for about 20 seconds and I make sure to get all surfaces evenly so the whole banger is evenly heated. Once it’s done heating up, wait some time before taking the dab so the quartz banger can cool off. The amount of time you should wait varies between each banger, so you’ll need to test this out a few times before you get it right. I like to start by waiting 20 seconds then going up or down by 10 seconds at a time. Today I am going to wait for about 20 to 25 seconds before taking the dab. Time is up and it is time to take the dab! You can see it bubbles in the dish of the quartz banger and then after it has completely melted off your dabber, you can add the carb cap for clearing it! Some people like to use a timer for the period of waiting, but I usually just count in my head as it’s easier that way. Also, you don't want to wait too long or else the concentrate wont evaporate all the way and a lot will be wasted. Sometimes after clearing the rig, you’ll notice smoke going up from the banger, and that just means there is some left. All you need to do is reapply the carb cap and hit it to get the rest of the concentrate. Once you are finished with taking your dab, it is time to cleanup. Take a q-tip and wipe up all the oil and left over gunk in the quartz banger using both ends of the q-tip. This keeps the banger clean and looking brand new for a long time making your dabs much more tasty! Another thing I forgot to mention, when you heat the quartz banger up too much and don't let it cool down before adding your concentrate, sometimes the concentrate will burst into flames and will just smoke away. This is another great reason for sticking to a low temp dab. Alright guys, there you have everything you need to know about taking a low temp dab.
