For Several Reasons: a- High Definition Image d- 3D vision system c- Magnified surgical field d- Surgeon Autonomy: This mean: The surgeon control, one camera, 3 surgical instruments (monopolar, bipolar, retraction) and finally the artery can be clamp by the surgeon (robotic clips). 3- Why Surgeon Autonomy is important? This way the first assistant can be somebody with less experience and the main surgical skill responsibility is handle by the surgeon. 4- Is this approach more expensive than conventional Laparoscopic surgery? Yes, but Robotic surgery is less expensive than open. 5- What surgical approach is better? Minimally invasive surgery: robotic or Laparoscopic. |
