| Video Discription | At the end of the surgery I noticed CSF leak from the cribriform plate while i was revising the area. I consider self-revision as a mandatory step that prevents many postoperative complications. It would be another story if passed un-noticed. I closed the defect with 2 layers of free mucosal grafts harvested from already- excised inferior turbinate that was totally free from the tumor. No glue was available, so I depended on underlay support with gelfoam and overlay support with surgicell and merocels. The defect healed successfully with no postoperative leak. |
