| Video Discription | Umbilical hernia repair is a routinely performed surgery and minimally invasive ventral hernia repair is now preferred for this disease. The mesh placement can be intraperitoneal Onlay (IPOM) where we use a composite mesh OR retro rectus/ preperitoneal where we can use a normal prolene mesh. We will share videos on both these techniques of ventral hernia repair in a very minimally edited video so that you can see each and every step of the surgery and grasp the technique. The current video is on minimally invasive IPOM repair. The video gives you everything from Patient history PORT PLACEMENT AREAS MESH size Measurement Mesh placement and tacking. We use both sutures and tackers however, the current surgery was performed using trans-abdominal suturing at corners followed by tacking. Hope you enjoy the video demonstration.
