| Video Discription | Mid aged patient presents with balance problems and headaches. MRI of brain revealed an enhancing mass at the cranio-cervical junction. Patient taken to surgery for suboccipital craniectomy and C1 laminectomy for resection of mass. Video shows patient is in prone position with head at 5 oclock and feet at 11 oclock. Tumor's attachments identified, coagulated and disconnected with en bloc removal of a cranial nerve 11 (spinal accessory nerve) schwannoma. |
