| Video Discription | This is demonstration of Laparoscopic Left Nephrectomy. The procedure was complicated due to dense adhesions around the hilum & upper pole. Such adhesion are tell tale evidences of previous inflammation following infection or surgery. Though named as simple nephrectomy to differentiate form "radical nephrectomy", this is actually tough to do compared to RCC. Hence it is better to term it as "Nephrectomy for Non-Malignant Kidney disease" rather than misconceived term "simple nephrectomy". |
