| Video Discription | 58 yo female presented with pulsatile tinnitus and conductive hearing loss in the right ear. Otoscopy revealed pulsating mass filling entire middle ear. CT scan suggested a tympanomastoid paraganglioma class B2. Canal wall up mastoidectomy with extended posterior tympanotomy (hypotympanotomy) and subfacial tympanotomy was performed for complete tumor removal. External canal wall and ossicular chain were preserved and hearing was restored. Preoperative embolization was not performed. Operation time: 4 hours Blood loss: ca. 300 ml |
