| Video Discription | Patient presented with right conductive hearing loss and absent acoustic reflexes. The patient was found to have otosclerosis, and underwent transcanal, endoscopic stapedotomy using a 4.5 mm, titanium/nitinol stapes piston prosthesis. Intra-operatively, the patient had a narrow oval window niche. A microdrill was used to remove promontory, and widen exposure of the oval window posteriorly. A CO2 laser was then used to create a rosette on the footplate, followed by a stapedotomy using a microdrill (0.7 mm burr). Video and images posted with patient permission.
