| Video Discription | Hello friends, This is a video to demonstrate repair of uterovaginal prolapse for central defect and anterior compartment defect. Repair of uterine prolapse has always been challenging and confusing too. What to repair? How much to repair? Which route vaginal or laparoscopic? If vaginal then high uterosacral suspension or sacrospinous suspension? How much is risk of recurrence? There are thousands of questions about prolapse repair. In this video I am trying solve few of them. (Disclaimer- as it is a controversial topic there can be differences in opinion. Here I am putting my opinion about this anatomical deformity) As we all know prolapse has been wonderfully described according to De’Lance’s classification into three levels. Level I: central defect or defect at cardinal ligaments. Level II : defect at pubocervical or denonvilier fascia. Level III: defect at perineal body. This case is about level I and level II defect. And for correction we have performed sacrospinous fixation and anterior colporhhaphy. For sacrospinous fixation We routinely use central approach and for Bladder dissection we use inverted technique.
