| Video Discription | TRANS SEPTAL FRONTAL SINUSOTOMY (T S F S) : Is it alternative to DRAFF PROCEDURES Dear surgeons it is a case of severe traumatic stenosis of upper septum frontal recess aggar nasi region of left side of nose with deviation of septum left side of nose No identifying marks on left side Vacuum head ache is present TSFS was done The procedure was well described by BATRA and LONZA Steps are.. 1) Septoplasty 2) identification of 1st olfactory fibre 3) visualization of prow of ship area of frontal floor 4) drilling of anterior triangle of prow 5) entering and widening of frontal floor with visualization and if necessary drilling opposite frontal sinus 6) midline septal perforation of 1 to 1.5 cm of size There should be 1 to 1.5 cm of antero posterior diameter of frontal sinus for this surgery we are very familiar with septoplasy procedures, hence Tsfs is relatively easy so is it alternative to DRAFF Type 3 procedure Labelling: 1) prow of ship of frontal floor 2) septal perforations 3) 1st olfactory fibre 4) Bone of frontal floor 5) opening of frontal floor 6) frontal sinus 7) posterior of frontal table 8) septum 9) small septal perforation from opposite side (1to1.5 cm) 10) 'Y' shaped frontal floor |
