Prof. Prepageran Narayanan’s session on expanding skull base surgery further. Prof. Narayanan is a Senior Professor and Consultant in the Dept of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. His area of expertise includes Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Skull Base, Surgery, Otology, Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery and Cochlear Implants. He obtained Certificate of Completion of Training in the UK in 1998-1999 and Clinical Fellowship in Neurotology & Advanced Otology, Skull Base Surgery (2002- 2003) at Toronto General Hospital, Canada. He was the Chairman of the National Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Specialty Training Board 2012-2013. He was also President for the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. He was also the President of the Asian Research Symposium in Rhinology 2016 and is very actively involved in research with numerous research grants. He is the author of more than 20 textbooks and more than 180 papers published in local and international journals. Originally presented on 12th Dec 2020 -session 9, as part of the GR-ESS 2020 event, a two day event covering all aspects of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (day 1 – 11th Dec 2020) and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery (day 2 – 12th Dec 2020). Global Rhinology Network is a registered academic non-profit organisation with a mission to foster surgical training in the field of Rhinology and Skull Base surgery. The concept of the organisation has evolved through an annual international live surgical webcast. The LIONESS established by Mr. Ashok Rokade with the strong support of participating surgeons in association with the lauded LION foundation. Prof. Christos Georgalas, Prof. Wilko Grolman, Dr. Robert Vincent, and Mr. John Oates were instrumental to see the LIONESS take-off in 2014 and to reach surgeons from more than 40 countries. |
