Advantages of running continuous suture over interrupted suture are as follows; 1. it is fast 2. leakage is infrequent 3. you have sufficient space for needling until the end of the suturing because you have not tightened suture yet. 4. suture loop - you can decide where the loop can be tightened. Disadvantages as follows; 1. at least the length of the suture is over 4cm. For one side of suture, you need at least 4cm long nylon. Longer the suture, harder to manipulate it. However, imagine it. Is 4 cm long??? 2. many stitches are required. If a few stitches were placed, tightening the thread will shrink the bypass site. 14 to 16 stitches I routinely place. 3. if you catch the back wall together and realize it after completion of suture, you need to be more smart.
