Technique tips and tricks; Folding technique: - loose fold (not tight roll). - 2 fold from top to center, 1 x fold from bottom edge to center, then bring the two halves together. - use a marker to extensively highlight where the two halves meet. Otherwise, it's very hard to see the join when trying to position and unfold the mesh. Dissection - Broad dissection inferiorly and laterally - ProGrip will stick easily to peritoneum and fat so clear away Placement: - Get the placement right before unfolding. roughly speaking get the middle of the mesh sitting horizontally over the deep ring - Unfold one entire fold at a time moving along the length of the fold, as shown in video.
