| Video Discription | This video shows endoscopic endonasal transplanum/transellar approach for resection of tuberculum sellae meningioma in a 68yo male patient. The inicial presentation was right visual impairment. Bilateral nasoseptal flap was performed followed by mid-posterior septectomy. The anterior intercavernous sinus offered some bleeding during access. In addition to the A1 / A2 complex, chiasm and optic nerves, it is possible to observe the displacement of the pituitary stalk to the left. Navigation or drill were not used. The patient was extubated in the immediate postoperative period without major complications. Only transient diabetes insipidus in the early days. He presented visual improvement in the 1st postoperative. He was discharged in the 8th postoperative day and back to work within a month. |
