| Video Discription | This patient was previously operated for #ovariancancer. She remained asymptomatic for 3 years. Her CA-125 levels were aslo normal. Now she presented with headache, vomitting, imbalance and difficulty in walking. On suspicion of positive cerebellar sign on neurological examination, radiological investigations CT scan, MRI brain were done. MRI report was suggestive of cerebellar tumor. Possibility of hemangioblastoma and metastasis were kept. Metastasis are most common posterior fossa/ cerebellar tumor in Adults. Patient was planned for paramedian suboccipital craniotomy and tumor excision. surgery was done by Dr Anil kothiwala (Neurosurgeon). complete excision of tumor was done. patient had good recovery after surgery. biopsy was suggestive of metastatic papillary tumor. patient was sent for radiotherapy. Patient is doing well. Brain metastases occur when cancer cells spread from their original site to the brain. Any cancer can spread to the brain, but the types most likely to cause brain metastases are lung, breast, colon, kidney and melanoma. Brain metastases may form one tumor or many tumors in the brain. As the metastatic brain tumors grow, they create pressure on and change the function of surrounding brain tissue.
