A step-by-step surgery of Double Fistula Repair; Laparoscopic repair of Vesico vaginal and uretero vaginal fistula with ureteric reimplantation. - Dr. Hrishikesh Pandit (Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgeon) Surgery was assisted by Dr. Amit Tajane and Dr. Hrishikesh Wagholikar Vesicovaginal fistula is a free communication between the urinary bladder and the vagina. The urine from the bladder freely flows into the vaginal vault, leading to total or continuous incontinence. Ureterovaginal fistula is a communication between the distal ureter and the vagina. Vasico vaginal fistula and ureteric fistula repaired Laparoscopically. Patient had undergone Total laparoscopic hystrectomy 40 days back. At the time of TLH bladder was opened accidentally and was repaired at that time. Patient developed leak from 8th day. Management done: CT urography is the investigation of choice to detect the number and type of fistula But in this case as it's a big fistula and ureter also draining in vagina CT only diagnosed VVF We have performed Vasico vaginal fistula repair with Ureteric reimplantation (Cystoneostomy) And patient has been completely cured. *Important: If its ureteric fistula you can repair it immediately, but for VVF it's better to wait for 45 days.
