| Video Discription | Obstructive Defecation Syndrome (ODS) is a condition that significantly impairs quality of life. These patients often have anatomical pelvic floor disorders such as rectocele, peritoneocele, enterocele or intrarectal intussusception and a functional defecation defect that develops together. Despite all conservative treatments, approximately 20% of ODS patients require surgical treatment. The most important advantage of ventral mesh rectopexy (VMR) is that it does not require poterolateral mobilization of the rectum. In this way, autonomic nerves are protected and postoperative new-onset constipation due to rectal denervation is avoided. VMR, which is frequently preferred in the treatment of rectal prolapse, is also becoming widespread in the surgical treatment of ODS patients, especially with morphological disorders of the pelvic floor. Robotic surgery facilitates complicated procedures such as dissection and suturing by increasing visibility and mobility in the deep pelvis. Obstrüktif Defekasyon Sendromu (ODS), yaşam kalitesini önemli ölçüde bozan bir tablodur.
