| Video Discription | This video, explains how two patients are treated for Orbital Fractures. One of the patients is a 12 years old boy having Enophthalmos in his right eye due to fracture of the medial orbital wall. A Medial Rectus muscle entrapment is discovered due to the pain arose trying to move the eye to the left side. After a CT SCAN, it is realized that there is a medial wall fracture of the right side. A pre-Caruncular incision is taken. The patient’s own bone is used to repair the fractured area. The technique used is the modified technique for harvesting full-thickness Iliac Crest Bone Graft. The second patient is a 46 years old female with right eye Enophthalmos, Hypotropia, and pain in upper incisors. The CT SCAN done on her shows an impure type of right-sided orbital floor fracture with a fracture on the right anterior maxillary wall. It is discovered that the fracture had malunited with callus formation and was compressing the infra-orbital nerve below it, the nerve is therefore removed. A Titanium Sheet is used to protect the Infraorbital Nerve during surgery. Another polythene sheet is placed on top to prevent any orbital ridge defect and subsequent poor cosmesis. After two weeks of operation, the condition is rectified. Surgeries are performed by Dr. Debraj Shome.
