| Video Discription | 40 year old lady with chronic calculus cholecystitis. GB was hugely distended and very thick and inflamed wall. Lymph node and Rouviere's sulcus were clearly identified and dissection seemed not difficult. However, the cystic duct was short and during its clearance towards bile duct there was inadvertent injury to common hepatic duct.The leak of yellow bile lead us to look for and identify the leak site. It was repaired with 3 interrupted sutures using 3/0 vicryl. The proper seal was ensured by normal saline wash which came clear without yellow stain. GB was put in a custom bag made out of gloves. Peritoneal cleansing was done. A drain was kept before GB retrieval. |
