Middle ear exploration shows a Total Malleus Teflon Piston which was positioned by the previous surgeon from the malleus handle to the stapes footplate. There is a malleus handle erosion. The stapes head is also eroded. Ossicular reconstruction is performed with a simultaneous insertion of a Malleus Replacement Prosthesis (MRP) and a Total Malleus Teflon Piston (MRP-to-footplate assembly).
