| Video Discription | Rectal prolapse is a debilitating disorder. While performing a posterior mesh rectopexy in young males, we do not divide the lateral ligaments and also, limit the anterior dissection till we see the superior surface of the seminal vesicles. This minimized the risk of post-operative erectile dysfunction. Moreover we use a thin strip of T-shaped polypropelene mesh and make sure that the mesh is only in contact with the mesorectum and never directly with the bowel. This eliminates the risk of mesh erosion. |
