| Video Discription | The patient had previous mastoidectomies in both ears. There is a neglected and infected cavity on the right side. In the left ear, previous mastoidectomy resulted in a defect in the sinodural angle region through which a sac of meningocele herniated in to the ear canal. After cul de sac closure of the ear canal with the modified Rambo flap technique; the herniated brain tissue was excised, the deftect was reconstructed with three layers (artificial dura, conceal cartilage and diced cartilage in deep temporals fascia). ET is occluded and the middle ear was filled with adipose tissue filling the obliterated cavity with fibrin glue. www.alpinguneri.com |
