| Video Discription | *Lt Modified Butterfly Tympanoplasty using Tragal Cartilage* *Zuhra BB* A 15- yrs old female presented with hoh. On endoscopic examination there was Lt TM perforation. After discussion of prons and cons consensus was developed to do Lt Tympanoplasty. Following established aseptic otological protocol transcanal approach was adopted. Tragal cartilage was harvested. Margins of perforation were freshened. Cartilage was fashioned in Modified Butterfly fashion, in which cartilage strip is kept in Central part while cartilage with perichondrium has been excised on that surface, while whole of perichondrium is remained intact on other side. This graft is then pushed into perforation and maintained properly. Canal was filled with gelfaon and polyfax pack for 20 days. Patient was discharged with instructions regarding post Op care and follow up visits. |
