| Video Discription | This boy was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate and had already undergone three surgeries till now to correct his cleft deformity. However, he was left with a cleft nose deformity, where the nose appeared flattened, the tip was pulled to one side, and this was also affecting his breathing. Now He is 19 years old and about to start college, he wanted to improve both the look and function of his nose. He was referred to us for cleft nose correction surgery (rhinoplasty or "nose job"). A costal cartilage graft was first harvested from his rib region. This was followed by intranasal incisions. The crooked nose correction was performed by medial osteotomies. The lower crus of the lateral cartilage was also excised. The costal cartilage graft was tunnelled through the incision to augment the nasal bridge. There were no visible scars because all the incisions were made inside the nose.
