| Video Discription | The following video shows a non complicated, lower cost, appendectomy of a 12years old boy. He came to the hospital 2 days after initial difuse abdominal pain that localized on the right iliac fossa. First hemogram showed 10k leucocytes and 11 bast. Abdominal ultrasound showed increase of lynphonodes on the cecal region and CT the same, no increase of the appendix or fecalite were present on the exams. The first diagnostic hipotesis for the case was mesenteric lymphadenitis. After the 8 hours of observation, the pain increased, and a laparoscopy was performed, showing a appendicitis on initial stage. The surgery took around 15 minutes to performed, the mesoappendice were cauterised with monopolar hook and the base ligated with handmade endoloops of prolene zero and the specimen were extracted with a handmade extraction bag (glove).
