With 3mm trocars patients have lower chance of: wound infection, bleeding at the site of the trocar, chronic pain. A smaller scar is also observed (no need to suture the skin of the 3mm ports), the scar is like the ones observed in needle for venipuncture. Many call this minilaparoscopy and scarless surgery. |
