| Video Discription | A young lady of 34 years with a history of 2 previous left ovarian cystectomies and subsequent hydroureter and hydronephrosis of the left kidney for which she underwent an exploratory laparotomy by a urologist who performed a ureteric reimplantation with a psoas hitch but left behind a large endometriosis nodule. The kidney did not recover and she continued to have severe pain - She was finally referred to our MDT and underewent a left laparoscopic nephrectomy with excision of the left ureter, left parametrial nodulectomy with partial vaginal excision and hysterectomy for adenomyosis. Its important to note that this situation should have been avoided in the first place when the parametrial nodule causing the obstruction should have been excised at the time of the initial ovarian cystectomies. Endometriosis should be handled by certified endometriosis specialists with a multidisciplinary team in place to identify and handle advanced disease.
